Our response

  • Measurement sanity check and funnel analysis
  • Behavioral analysis and expert UX review (M-I-F-A-PV grid)
  • Sourced insights and RICES-prioritized roadmap

Why now

Constant media budget, more expensive traffic: conversion absorbs the increase

Illustration of the principle in base 100 index, without client data.

At a constant budget, every increase in cost per visitor drives up the acquisition cost. Converting more of the visitors already paid for brings it back down, without spending an extra euro on media.

CAC =Cost per visitor÷ Conversion rate

  • Media budget, constant
  • Acquisition cost at constant conversion rate
  • Acquisition cost with conversion optimization

The principle

Every loss in the journey identified, explained, then prioritized

Illustration of the principle, without client data.

Data pinpoints the stages where the journey drops off; behavioral analysis and UX review explain the cause; each friction point becomes an A/B test hypothesis, scored with RICES.

  • Visitors at each stage
  • Perte principale du parcours
  • Won by variant B
  1. Sanity check of the measurement before any reading
  2. At least two sources per insight
  3. An A/B testing roadmap, scored with RICES

Method

Our method in 5 steps

Our stance

From data to roadmap

Each insight cross-references at least two sources, carries its proof and ends with an RICES-scored test hypothesis.

    FAQ

CRO audit: your frequently asked questions

A question about your context? Our experts will answer you.

    Ask your question
    What is a CRO audit?

A CRO audit (Conversion Rate Optimization) analyzes your site to identify what's preventing your visitors from converting, then ranks improvement levers by impact and effort. At Welyft, it cross-references four pillars: your analytics data, behavioral analysis (zoning, exposure, frustration), an expert UX review and a competitive benchmark. It concludes with a prioritized testing roadmap.

What's the difference between a CRO audit and a UX audit?

A UX audit evaluates a site's usability based on best practices. A CRO audit includes it as one pillar among four and compares it against your visitors' real data: each finding is measured, sourced, then turned into a quantified, prioritized test hypothesis.

How long does a CRO audit take?

Allow 9 working days, from scoping to presentation, for a site and its main journeys. A multi-market, multi-site scope or one enriched with user testing requires more time: the duration is set during scoping.

    What data do you need?

Access to your analytics tool (GA4, Piano or equivalent) and, if in place, your behavioral analysis tool (Contentsquare, Hotjar, Fullstory). Without behavioral data, we conduct an expert review and a benchmark, delivered as a findings report.

    What happens after the audit?

You leave with a prioritized test roadmap and the one-pagers for the first tests, ready to be launched by your teams or as part of a CRO program with Welyft, on your A/B testing tool (AB Tasty, Kameleoon, Dynamic Yield, Optimizely, VWO).

What's the difference with the CRO maturity audit?

The CRO audit focuses on your site and your user journeys. The maturity audit focuses on your organization: roles, processes and experimentation governance. The two combine when the site hinders conversion and the organization hinders testing velocity.
