Data Triangulation
Data triangulation combines multiple sources and types of data to obtain a more complete and accurate understanding of user behaviors and preferences.
Method used in data analysis and user experience (UX) that involves cross-referencing different sources and types of data to obtain a richer, more complete and accurate understanding of user behaviors and preferences.
By combining qualitative data (feedback, interviews, observations) with quantitative data (statistics, performance metrics), triangulation makes it possible to validate the relevance of insights, reduce potential biases, and increase the reliability of conclusions.
This holistic approach is particularly used in conversion rate optimization (CRO), where informed decision-making relies on confirming an insight through multiple concordant sources.
