Heap
Heap is a product analytics platform distinguished by its autocapture approach. It automatically records all user interactions on your site or application, without the need to define events in advance. This retroactive approach allows product and CRO teams to analyze any past behavior, even behavior they hadn't anticipated during implementation. Heap is part of Contentsquare and is now called Contentsquare Product Analytics.
What is Heap?
Heap is a product analytics solution that automatically captures every click, form submission, page change and user interaction, from the moment it's deployed. Unlike traditional analytics tools that require defining and tagging each event manually, Heap collects everything by default and allows events to be defined retroactively via its interface. This unique flexibility enables teams to answer retrospective analysis questions without ever having to wait for a new implementation. Acquired by Contentsquare in 2023, Heap has become Contentsquare Product Analytics: its features (autocapture, Journeys, Web Analytics) are integrated into Contentsquare's Product Analytics product and combine with the rest of the platform, including surveys. Heap customers keep their tools, plan and account.
When should you use Heap?
Heap is particularly well suited when teams want to analyze user behaviors without depending on prior tracking implementation, explore new hypotheses retrospectively, or gain in-depth understanding of the paths leading to conversion or abandonment on a web or mobile application. It is widely used alongside a session replay tool to correlate quantitative and qualitative data.
